What does it take to turn a business idea into a sustainable venture?
This year, Fowler College of Business expanded its partnership with SCORE San Diego to provide entrepreneurs from underserved communities with hands-on support in accounting, human resources, marketing and operations. The result? Small business owners gained valuable tools to grow their ventures, while students applied classroom knowledge to real business challenges and made a meaningful impact along the way.

Making healthy choices on a busy college schedule just got easier.
Students, faculty and staff can use the free Nutrislice app to view real-time nutrition information, ingredients and allergen details across SDSU dining locations. Combined with support from SDSU Dining Services' registered dietitian, these tools are helping members of our campus community make informed decisions that support their health and well-being.

What if the key to reducing cancer disparities starts with understanding the environments where people live and work?
SDSU researchers are launching a community-led study in Imperial Valley to explore potential links between environmental exposures in agricultural settings and gastrointestinal cancer risk. In partnership with local organizations and supported by Curebound, the project puts community voices at the center of research while creating hands-on opportunities for students to make an impact close to home.
This work reflects SDSU’s commitment to advancing health equity through research that serves communities and helps shape a healthier future.
