ENRON COOKED THE BOOKS.
WHO IS COOKING THE HISTORY BOOKS?

Enron executives manipulated financial records to deceive investors.
Today, some activists and scholars manipulate history, language, and context to deceive students.

One fabricated numbers.
The other fabricates narratives.
One distorted balance sheets.
The other distorts historical facts.

One corrupted markets.
The other risks corrupting education.

The lesson from Enron was never just about accounting.
It was about integrity.
When institutions reward fabrication, suppress scrutiny, and normalize falsehoods, public trust collapses.
Financial fraud damages portfolios.

Academic fraud damages minds.

And when false narratives are taught as facts, entire generations inherit the consequences.
Truth matters.
Evidence matters.
Academic integrity matters.

If corporate executives can be held accountable for cooking the books, educators and institutions should be held accountable for cooking the history books.
Different books.
Same deception.
Same need for accountability.

What do FIFA corruption and rising antisemitism on campus have in common?

The issue isn't money. It's accountability.

In the FIFA scandal, accepting funds wasn't the crime. The crime was using influence to gain unfair advantages and protect those in power. Officials who violated their duties were investigated, prosecuted, and held personally accountable.

The same question must be asked in education.

When complaints are ignored, victims are discredited, investigations are manipulated, and institutions prioritize self-preservation over student safety, the harm multiplies. Cover-ups don't just hide misconduct—they enable it.

Whether the issue is antisemitism, discrimination, retaliation, or abuse of authority, accountability must extend beyond institutions to the individuals responsible for enforcing the law.

Authority carries responsibility. Deliberate indifference carries consequences.

Transparency. Accountability. Change.

Antisemitism is another form of institutional misconduct and cover-up.

Across education, the same pattern repeats:

• Complaints minimized
• Standards selectively applied
• Victims discredited
• Authorities deflect responsibility
• Institutions protect themselves first

* We saw it in sexual abuse scandals.
* We saw it in Varsity Blues admissions fraud.
* We now see it in campus antisemitism.

Different misconduct.
Same institutional playbook.

When authority is shielded from liability, concealment becomes calcified into institutional culture of impunity. And misconduct cover ups is cost of doing business.

👉 Accountability must extend to decision-makers.

Enron executives manipulated financial records.

Some academics manipulate historical narratives.

Enron inflated profits. Some scholars inflate accusations.

Enron concealed facts. Some scholars omit facts.

Enron misled investors. Some educators mislead students.

The mechanism is the same:

FRAUD.

F — Fabricate.

R — Rewrite.

A — Alter.

U — Undermine.

D — Deceive. Distort.

Enron's fraud bankrupted investors.

Academic fraud bankrupts moral integrity.

When financial records are falsified, we call it fraud.

When historical facts are falsified, we call it academic freedom?

Absolutely not. This is academic fraud!

This is a profound breach of academic integrity.

Integrity applies to both.

Whether the subject is accounting or history, evidence matters.

When institutions normalize fabrication, trust collapses.

When truth becomes political, education becomes propaganda.

Different books. Same deception.

We need the educational equivalent of Sarbanes-Oxley.

If corporate leaders are held accountable for financial misrepresentation, academic leaders and scholars should be held accountable for deliberate distortions of evidence and history.

When authority is protected from accountability, misconduct is normalized.

Universities pay settlements.
Administrators are reassigned.
Students carry the consequences.

When institutions absorb liability but decision-makers face no personal accountability, misconduct persists.

Authority without accountability creates institutional impunity.

Congress addressed this problem in corporate America after major financial scandals.
Education should not be exempt.

Big change

President Donald J. Trump's historic Education Freedom Tax Credit will allow parents to choose the best education for their children, whether they attend private or public school.

Let’s bring this historic expansion of education freedom to all 50 states!

Antisemitism on campuses mirrors the Varsity Blues structure.

In the Varsity Blues scandal:

• Money was funneled through intermediaries
• Equal access was manipulated and denied
• Records and credentials were fabricated

Today, similar patterns emerge in higher education:

• Influence is routed through radical ideological networks and intermediaries
• Jewish and Zionist students are denied equal access and protection
• Complaints are minimized, dismissed, or buried
• Historical facts and narratives are distorted under the guise of academic authority
• Authorities exploit student vulnerabilities, confusion, and fear while deflecting their duty of care

Same pattern. Different context.

In Varsity Blues, prosecutors pursued parents, intermediaries, facilitators, and administrators because coordinated misconduct and concealment created liability.

So why, in education, does accountability stop at the surface?

Accountability should extend to:

• Educators and professors who knowingly fabricate or distort historical narratives
• Educators who promote hateful rhetoric, censor, intimidate, or marginalize Jewish and Zionist students
• Administrators who act with deliberate indifference, retaliation, concealment, or selective enforcement

When officials knowingly enable, disregard, conceal, or protect misconduct, liability must reach decision-makers, not just institutions.

Educational institutions demand a Sarbanes-Oxley standard of accountability.

After major corporate scandals, Congress passed the Sarbanes-Oxley Act to align authority with responsibility.

Executives could no longer hide behind institutions while misconduct spread unchecked.

The principle was simple:
When responsibility is abdicated, liability must follow.

So why does education still operate under institutional immunity?

When officials knowingly disregard civil-rights violations, conceal misconduct, or retaliate against students, accountability should not stop at the institution.

Education needs its own accountability framework.
