Sequential Prophet~5 06/23/2026

Sequential and GForce Software have partnered to create the official Prophet~5 software instrument - alongside the original hardware functionality and classic 1978 factory presets, this Prophet~5 plug-in introduces powerful new features, including redesigned X-Modifiers, a dual-layer architecture, MPE support, and a premium suite of studio effects.

Sequential Prophet~5 Few instruments carry the cultural weight of the Prophet~5. Released by Sequential Circuits in 1978, Dave Smith’s five-voice analogue synthesizer brought polyphony, patch memory and hands-on control together in a way that reshaped how musicians wrote, recorded and performed with synthesis.

Lisa Remar - Sequential 05/28/2026

Sequential Artist Interviews: Lisa Remar

New artist interview featuring the Prophet Rev2 - Lisa Remar is a composer and music director based in London and has worked with PinkPantheress, Slayyyter, and helped arranged The Kid Laroi brand activations for Charli XCX. Lisa also arranged the PinkPantheress musical performance featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk series, which included the Prophet Rev2 being played by keyboardist Tina Chau Le. We asked Lisa if she could share some insight on how the Rev2 factored into this performance and arrangement process, and what it’s like to be a woman musical director in a primarily male position.

SEQUENTIAL: What is your previous experience with Sequential synthesizers?

LISA: I have always used the Rev2 in live performances. I first encountered one in a recording studio and immediately thought this was the analog sound that really elevates the texture of the music.

SEQUENTIAL: Tell us about the musical direction behind the PinkPantheress Tiny Desk performance.

LISA: It was a really unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience. I am incredibly proud of Vicky, the band, and myself for pulling it off, especially because there were so many last-minute changes right up until the day before the performance, even though I started working on the arrangements a couple of months in advance. Some of the reference points included William Orbit’s “Spiral,” Rob Dougan’s “Clubbed to Death” from The Matrix soundtrack, an illegal PinkPantheress demo version on YouTube, “Take Me Away” from the Freaky Friday soundtrack, and “Red Clay” by Freddie Hubbard.

Sequential Artist Spotlight: Christian Nourijanian

New artist interview featuring the Trigon-6 - Christian Nourijanian is a native New Yorker, pianist, keyboard player, organ player, and private music educator. Christian has shared the stage with artists Justin Jesso, Gavin Turek, Hank Azaria & the EZ Street Band, The Knocks, 50 Cent, Questlove, Raye Zaragoza, Richie Cannata (Billy Joel), St. Lucia, Ricky Byrd (Joan Jett and the Blackhearts), Max Weinberg, Arlissa, Blu DeTiger, Mree, and more.

Whether it’s on the stage, in the studio, or working with private students, Christian continues to grow as a musician and artist.

"Over the years of doing session work, there were always DSI/Sequential synths in various New York City studios that I was able to use on records. I thought the workflow was very intuitive and the sounds were amazing. At this time I owned a few different synth brands but never felt at home for what I was trying to achieve sonically and technically. I subbed in my friend’s indie pop band, and they were using Sequential synths all over their records and also using them on stage live. After that I knew that Sequential was the synth I wanted to own and use. I think the Trigon-6 is the best of many worlds with 3 oscillators, its simplicity yet massive sound, and sweet analog tone."
