First Gen & Juice

My Tribe Media tried some new things at this year. We wanted to connect with people outside of the typical conference set up, which included two meet and greets and one media commons for BTS fans. 💜

In Titanic and Pretty Woman, Jack and Vivian enter spaces where they don’t know the unspoken rules. While the scenes focus on etiquette, they also capture something many first-gen students know well: imposter syndrome.

Both characters navigate the fear of making a mistake and feeling like they don’t belong. Instead of letting that fear take over, Jack and Vivian adapt and make the space their own. prettywoman

The testing scene in Men In Black perfectly captures what the first-gen student experience can feel like: entering spaces filled with unspoken rules that everyone else seems to already understand.

While the other candidates try to fit into the system, Agent J succeeds by adapting, thinking differently, and questioning the environment around him.
