The last day of school at SFFS is full of traditions! We gather in Golden Gate Park for Meeting for Worship and the Kindergarten/8th grade dance - a joyful, choreographed dance performed by 8th graders and their Kindergarten buddies. The celebration also includes music performances and a sing-along with music teachers Jane and Greg, and students end the celebration with popsicles. Summer is here! βοΈ

Hands-on, inquiry-based learning is an essential part of our science curriculum. Middle school students recently participated in dissection labs. 5th graders dissected a sheep heart as part of a study of cardiovascular and respiratory systems. 8th graders dissected a cow eye to gain a better understanding of the anatomy of the eye as they prepared to create scientific drawings of the eye. These hands-on experiences build knowledge about anatomy and physiology, nurture scientific curiosity, and foster an enthusiasm for learning.
