As we get closer to the end of the school year, our classes are starting to celebrate in various ways.

Our 3rd graders and MS Tutors got together to design and test catapults.

Our 4th graders enjoyed a wonderful year-end celebration hike to Christopher Playground. As they hiked through the canyon, played on the grassy fields, and explored different playgrounds, students were able to enjoy God’s beautiful creation and celebrate the friendships and memories made throughout the school year.

Psalm 118:24 reminds us, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

Last week, we got to celebrate with some of our students as they were recognized by the San Francisco Dental Society. These students participated in their annual poster contest and did well!

It is Teacher Appreciation Week! We encourage everyone to take time to say "Thank you!" to their teachers and show them appreciation for all the hard work they do!

In the past two weeks, our 4th and 5th graders had the opportunity to serve the community in honor of Earth Day by pulling weeds and picking up trash throughout the neighborhood. With joyful hearts, students worked together to care for God’s creation and bless those around them. Through their service, they were able to be the hands and feet of Christ and shine His light in the community, remembering the words of Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Our 4th graders enjoyed a meaningful field trip to Japantown, where they participated in a historical walking tour. Students learned how Japantown has changed over the years, including the impact of the Japanese incarceration camps on the community. This experience encouraged them to reflect on themes of injustice, perseverance, and the dignity of every person made in God’s image.

As they considered these stories, students were reminded of Micah 6:8, which calls us “to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” In addition to learning, students explored the neighborhood, enjoying snacks and small souvenirs while experiencing the culture firsthand. It was a beautiful day of learning, reflection, and fellowship.
