"The most rewarding part of working on the Paper Tiger has been to interview really unique people. Each interview reminds me why journalism is so important; it invites new perspectives by highlighting a diverse range of voices that otherwise might go unheard." — Gabi G-T. ‘26, co-Editor in Chief

Congratulations to Ms. Torres (Math) and Madam McLaughlin (French) on teaching their final classes today! As they walked out of their classrooms after their last day of instruction, they were greeted by a sea of cheering students and colleagues, flowers, and a whole lot of love.
Ms. Torres and Madame McLaughlin, thank you for the countless lives you’ve changed, the lessons you’ve taught, and the joy you’ve brought to hundreds of students.

On April 29, seven student speakers took the stage for LWHS’ 4th Annual TEDxLick-Wilmerding HS, to share stories centered on the theme of Belonging: Identity, Power, and the Stories We Carry. Through their deeply personal presentations, the students encouraged reflection, challenged assumptions, and sparked meaningful dialogue.
Each year, TEDx LWHS invites students to share an idea or perspective that is important to them. Students combine their writing and public speaking skills with a topic they are passionate about, resulting in a night of compelling and heartwarming stories. It's always a special night for LWHS, and this year was no exception.
