City College of San Francisco (CCSF) is closed today, Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. All physical campuses and administrative offices will be closed, and no classes will be in session. Regular operations and classes will resume on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Juneteenth National Independence Day is a recognized U.S. federal holiday in celebration of the effective end of slavery in the United States, specifically commemorating June 19, 1865, when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation. Today, the holiday centers on key themes of Emancipation, Resilience, and Progress.
