Summer 2026 is officially in session, and we are ready! ππ½
Great learning does not happen by accident. It starts with 180 educators, mentors, and teacher assistants coming together to align on curriculum, integrate our AI platform D[ai]TA into their lesson plans, and sharpen the culturally responsive practices that make every student feel seen and supported.
This is how we lay the groundwork to inspire students in the classroom and beyond! π‘

Four students from our Eastside Education Initiative program joined our team, educators, and advocates on Senator Dave Cortese's recent Bus Trip for Education, traveling to Sacramento to make Silicon Valley's voice heard where education policy is shaped. π£οΈ
At the heart of this year's trip: Senator Cortese's Senate Constitutional Amendment 5 (SCA 5), legislation that would equalize per-pupil funding so every student receives equal resources, regardless of the district they call home. The work doesn't stop at the classroom door. Policy shapes what's possible for students long before a teacher ever writes on a whiteboard. That's why advocacy is central to everything we do. π€π½

Every number has a name behind it. π
In 2025, SV[e]F reached 6,400 students and 450 educators, growing our 27-year cumulative reach to 79,175 students and 4,910 teachers across 116 school districts.
This work is bigger than benchmarks. It is about what becomes possible when a student walks into a classroom with a teacher who is ready, a curriculum that challenges, and a future that feels within reach. π€π½

The most effective investment in students starts with the educators who serve them.
This Teacher Appreciation Week, SV[e]F celebrates the teachers we have the privilege of partnering with each year. Their commitment ripples outward, reaching thousands of students who are building the foundational skills to thrive in tomorrow's workforce. π
As our summer Elevate[Math] and [Computer Science] Innovate programs approach, we're inspired by the educators who pour into their craft not because it's required, but because they know their students are worth it.
To every teacher in our community: thank you. π
