Explorer Preschool honors each child's unique ability to learn through play while empowering parents to become confident child advocates. Our developmentally designed program is grounded in research on child development, offering children a choice of engaging activities supervised by the teachers and parents in the classroom.
We are very proud that each of our age-appropriate classes is supported by two dedicated teachers. This uncommon model allows us to offer more guidance, connection, and hands-on support for both children and parents, something that truly sets us apart!

PINK is for boys. And girls.
Let’s kick off summer reading during Pride Month with Pink Is for Boys by Robb Pearlman. This sweet, rhyming picture book gently rethinks and reframes the old blue/pink gender binary and reminds kids and their grown‑ups that everyone gets to express themselves in every color of the rainbow.
Here are some easy, cozy conversation starters while you read together:
* What’s your favorite color? Why do you love it? What does it make you think of? Let them know that any color can be their color.
* Has anyone ever told you that you shouldn’t like something because it was “for boys” or “for girls”? How did that feel? Reassure them that it’s totally okay to explore anything that sparks their interest.
* Can you or your friends enjoy differnt color combinations and various activities? The world is always growing and changing, and it’s more than okay, it’s wonderful to be your true self.

A nurtured parent creates a nurturing environment. Just like the children we care for, we grow best with consistency, patience, and care. Taking a few moments each day to rest, reflect, or do something that fills your cup isn't a luxury - it’s how you continue to bloom.

This is the time of year when parents and teachers gather for our class culmination dinner and look back on the year we’ve shared. We laugh at our silly moments, get a little misty over the hard parts and the big wins, and squeeze each other a bit tighter as we remember how lucky we are to be part of this community. For some families, this is the end of their time at Explorer, but it never really feels like goodbye. Thank you for another wonderful school year!

At our parent participation preschool, learning happens through play, connection, and curiosity.
From digging and building in the sand, to experimenting with science discoveries, to zooming through bike play with friends, our 3-5 year olds are growing confidence, creativity, and community every day. 🌿🪣🔬🚲
Play is the work of childhood, and we’re so lucky to learn alongside them. 💛
