Sprucewood Elementary

Congratulations to five of our Sprucewood Falcon faculty members who completed their CPR certification today! By successfully passing the hands-on skills assessment, they demonstrated their commitment to being prepared when it matters most. At Sprucewood, we value lifelong learning and continually strengthening the skills that help us care for and support our school community. 🦅

For the past two days, many of our Sprucewood faculty members attended the Elevated Teaching Summit, an annual conference hosted by Canyons School District that provides valuable professional learning through a variety of breakout sessions.

This year, Sprucewood was proud to have several staff members share their expertise as presenters. Miss Saltzsieder and Coach Mere presented on incorporating movement into math instruction. Mrs. Seguin shared insights on Amplify and the importance of productive struggle in student learning. Mrs. Crowe and Miss Van Dam presented on lessons learned through Sprucewood’s early adoption of Amplify.

We are grateful for these opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow as educators. Not pictured in the group photo is our SLP, Mrs. Lindstrom, who also attended the conference. We are proud of our Sprucewood team and their commitment to providing the best learning experiences for our Falcons!

Our youngest falcons graduated kindergarten today! This is the class of 2038! Way to go Falcons! Fly high.

Falcon Fun Day was a blast for both students and faculty today! The weather was great, ice cream was delicious, and the memories made will last a lifetime. Thank you to the and volunteers for a great event! We can’t wait for next year!

Ms. Hansen’s students got to fly kites today on this perfectly windy day. Her students had a blast!

Our fifth grade Falcons celebrated the end of an unforgettable year today! Students designed their own hats, enjoyed pizza and snow cones, played games with friends, and made lasting core memories. What a fun way to celebrate all of their hard work and growth this year. We are so proud of our amazing fifth grade Falcons and can’t wait to see all the incredible things they do in middle school! Thanks to all of the parent volunteers who made today possible.

Former Sprucewood Falcons and other graduating seniors from Alta High School participated in a special graduation clap out. Our Falcons lined the halls to cheer on and celebrate the graduating seniors as they walked through the school. Families also joined in the celebration by honking and cheering during the pick-up line. It was such a meaningful experience for our students to catch a glimpse of their own futures as graduating seniors someday. The Sprucewood Falcons are proud of you, Alta Hawks! .plt
