Proud of Pacifica students Teal Greene and Joseph Holscher, co-founders of SurfersWhoServe, for stepping before the California Coastal Commission to advocate for the future of our coastline.

Speaking alongside fellow student advocate Arshayan Desai, they shared firsthand insight into what it means to grow up in and care for the waters of Santa Monica Bay—and why strong coastal protections matter for generations to come.

Congratulations to Stephen Roberson, Pacifica's 2026 Faculty Member of the Year!

As a Philosophy teacher and Director of the Center for Philosophy & Theology, Mr. Roberson has helped students learn not only how to think, but how to listen well, ask meaningful questions, and engage the world with wisdom and humility.

In a culture often driven by achievement and constant activity, he creates space for students to slow down, reflect, and grow. As Director of Academic Counseling, Carly Barforth, shared at the Senior Dinner, "Students learn some of the most meaningful and lasting lessons" through his influence.
