Tonight and tomorrow!! Children’s After School Theater features the 5th-12th graders in this loving send-up of the 1950s small-town America, teenagers, and rock & roll. Bye Bye Birdie, Jr. tells the story of teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie (based on Elvis Presley), who has been drafted and is set up to have a very public farewell kiss with all-American girl Kim McAfee.

C.A.S.T. Receives Kiwanis Grant
Children’s After School Theater’s director Dane Rold accepted a grant award on behalf of C.A.S.T. from the Kiwanis Club of Santa Monica on July 16. Dane wrote up the grant proposal, which was considered and accepted by the Kiwanis. Award money will help fund costs for this year’s shows. Congratulations, Dane!
