Day 2 of competition, unfortunately, Jillian didn't advance to round 7, but it is not the end.

After competition today, we got to enjoy hanging out with other speech and debate teams at the Virginia Muesum of History and Culture. Mrs. Shannon was able to see her high school speech and debate coach.

Tomorrow is another day of competition! Jillian will compete in Prose and Poetry, Cali in Impromptu and Extemporary Commentary for high school and Rebekah in Declamation and Program Oral Interpretation for middle school!

First day of competition for Jillian in Program Oral Interpretation for high school and Ms. Cristina judging for our team. The rest of the team competes Wednesday. After today's competition, we had a great time at Takara Ramen Westchester for dinner. Cali came up with a new way to eat noodles with chopsticks.

The Keystone Heights Speech & Debate Team needs your help!

We’re raising funds to send our students to two incredible opportunities: the National Catholic Forensic League Tournament in Washington, D.C. at the end of May, and the National Speech & Debate Tournament in Richmond, VA in June.

We’ve qualified four students for nationals, but with an extremely limited budget, we cannot make this trip possible without community support.

These tournaments are life-changing experiences—giving students the chance to compete, grow, and represent our community on a national stage.
