Mind if we share some kudos of our own? Gage is the recipient of TWO awards 🏆
One award is from Seattle’s Child’s 2026 Family Favorites! A contest where local families across Seattle voted and celebrate their favorite businesses, camps, services, and places. We are so honored to make that list. We love getting to offer youth classes, summer camps, Teen Art Studios and provide our local youth with access to the arts 💫
The second is from Seattle Gay News where Gage won “Best Art Class”! We might be biased but we have some of the best teaching artists educating our communities 😉
These awards are made possible thanks to supporters, students, artists and arts enthusiasts, community members like you all. We share these awards with you!

What a show! 🏆🎓 Best of Gage 2026 heralded such amazing works! We couldn’t be more proud of all our students and Atelier graduates.

Gage’s core principle is artists are made, not born 💫
For Gary Faigin, our late co-founder and artistic director emeritus, that was the case. Opening during Best of Gage, we’ll have a special exhibition featuring portraits from Gary’s artistic career starting in the 70’s to his final years.
You’ll see self-portraits from Gary before he received his formal training at the Art Students League in New York and the Écoledes Beaux-Arts in Paris. It was that training and the journey that came with it that inspired the founding of Gage ✨

🥁🥁🥁 Drum roll please…. The guest juror for All Atelier Day is 👏
A classically trained Seattle based painter, Flott creates figurative paintings and portraiture that challenge ideas of health, beauty, gender, and normalcy. Her work blends Renaissance iconography with contemporary narratives to explore representation through a feminist disability justice lens.
From lectures, awards & residencies, group and solo exhibitions, Flott’s CV is stacked! Her expertise as an artist and her unique perspective will make her a great addition to All Atelier Day 🙌
