An official welcome to our 2026-2027 PSYCAP cohort! Yesterday, we held our program orientation and first in-person event for our incoming students. Full of community building and program preparation, it was so wonderful to spend the day getting to know our new students! We wish them the best of luck as classes begin.

Self-care looks different for everyone. For some, music helps us unwind, focus, or simply feel less alone.

This , we're highlighting student discounts from Spotify and Apple Music. Whether you need a soundtrack to unwind after your internship or get through a study session, music can be one way to invest in your well-being!

A huge thank you to Caleb and Abril, our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access Student Committee members, for consolidating and sharing these valuable self-care resources.

It was incredible to spend last week with colleagues at the Washington Behavioral Healthcare Conference: Celebrating Community Behavioral Health. Each year, this conference acts as a space for the behavioral healthcare community to come together and share practices, ideas, and inspiration. A huge thank you to the Washington Council for Behavioral Health for hosting and to everyone who came by our booth!

Join PSYCAP for a Mary's Place Summer Snack Drive!

This summer, we are assembling snack bags for children staying at Mary's Place to take on field trips and outings. This has been a frequent request from staff and is a meaningful way to support families at Mary's Place, an emergency family shelter serving King County. These snack bags help ensure children have something to enjoy during summer activities and adventures. Items can be dropped off in the Guthrie lobby between June 9th and July 1st.

A huge thank you to the PSYCAP IDEA committee and student, Caleb Akana, for coordinating this effort!

to our experience at NCORE last year!

Faculty, staff, and leadership attended workshops and panels on inclusive learning and accessibility, student and staff empowerment, and frameworks for program development. We left with new ideas, inspiration, and connections that continue to shape our work.

In the year since, we've seen these lessons take root in concrete ways through curriculum updates and strategic shifts, as well as in more intangible ones, like a deepened sense of community and belonging within our program.

We're grateful for how this conference brought our team together and continues to inform the work we do.
