What are some money lessons you learned from your family?
THIS IS NOT ADVICE OR A RECOMMENDATION TO INVEST IN SPACEX.
I did so because I wanted direct exposure (I recognize the price may drop drastically) and had some small capital I was prepared to risk. My primary concern lies with the lockup period when early investors will be able to sell their shares (I think this will be in mid December if they follow the traditional 6-month period).
I kept my risk low by only investing roughly $700 and think that an even better strategy is waiting for its addition to the Nasdaq provided that it happens (not a guarantee but likely if the current price holds).

A very unique scenario and was right before all the volatility we’ve seen in the past couple weeks.

Update: As of posting this, the stock is down about 14% today and about 20% over the past week and just fell below $200/share.
It will be interesting to see how the planned ipos of SpaceX and Anthropic impact the stock because once they go public, funds like this will no longer be the exclusive way to gain exposure to these companies.
Hopefully the stock is still up in September! 🤞🏾
I also want to be clear that sharing info about VCX is not a recommendation to buy. I think it is highly speculative and if I wasn’t already an investor, there is no way I’d invest at its current levels.

It is worth noting that the price of the fund is largely driven by speculation at this point and so it is likely to see more volatility throughout the year.
