Congratulations to St. John 8th grader Ellie on an incredible achievement! ๐ŸŽ‰
Ellie recently traveled to Washington, D.C., to compete in the National History Day Finals in the Junior Individual Exhibit category. Her exhibit explored the 1867 Chinese Railroad Strike, highlighting an important chapter in American history and the contributions of Chinese laborers to the Transcontinental Railroad.
While in our nationโ€™s capital, Ellie also had the opportunity to visit some of our countryโ€™s most treasured historical documents, including the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.
We are so proud of Ellieโ€™s hard work, dedication, and passion for history. Way to represent St. John School on the national stage! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ“šโœจ

๐Ÿ›๏ธโœจ Ancient Greece Comes to Life! โœจ๐Ÿ›๏ธ
Our 6th graders brought history to life today with their Ancient Greece Living Wax Museum! After weeks of studying Ancient Greek history, students transformed into famous historical figures, philosophers, leaders, and mythological characters, dressing the part and sharing what they learned with visitors.
It was an impressive showcase of creativity, research, and public speaking as students stepped into the sandals of the people who helped shape one of the worldโ€™s most influential civilizations. Bravo to our 6th graders for all their hard work and to their teachers for creating such an engaging learning experience! ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ“šโœจ

๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ Intermediate Field Day Fun! ๐ŸŽ‰
A little stormy weather couldnโ€™t dampen the spirit of our 3rdโ€“5th graders! While Field Day had to stay on-campus instead of heading to Sandel Park, our students still had an absolute blast competing in tug-of-war, water balloon tosses, drip, drip, drop, relay races, and more.
From teamwork and friendly competition to plenty of laughter and school spirit, it was a day full of fun memories. Thank you to our teachers, staff, and parent volunteers who helped make the day such a success despite the weather. Sometimes the best adventures happen when plans change! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŒฟ Our 5th graders spent the day serving the community at Lake Sammamish State Park during a stewardship event with Mountains to Sound Greenway! Students worked hard removing invasive blackberry bushes and spreading mulch throughout the forest floor to help prevent the regrowth of non-native plants.
We are so proud of their teamwork, service, and care for Godโ€™s creation! ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒŽ A special thank you to our amazing teachers and parent volunteers for helping make this meaningful day possible.
