Congrats to all of our Washington State Opportunity Scholarship Recipients!

The Baccalauerate Scholarship 101 is one of three pathways to a high-demand, living wage career in Washington state offered by WSOS. We’re proud to announce that 30 Cleveland seniors will receive this scholarship. And our school has the highest number of BaS recipients in the state!

This program provides up to a total of $22,500 in scholarship dollars and access to career-launching support services for STEM and health care majors. WSOS can cover costs beyond tuition, such as housing, transportation, food, and more. Funding can be used for any eligible STEM or health care major at any eligible public or private college or university in Washington state.

Tuesday, June 9 is a very important day for graduating seniors to be in attendance. Please make sure your student is at school for graduation rehearsal and other important events.

On Tuesday, seniors will:
- Complete the senior check-out process with their counselor in their Humanities class.
- Return their laptops (if they have not already done so) and pay off any school fines.
- Participate in the graduation rehearsal/ walk-through in our auditorium.
- Come down to Cleveland’s basement to sign their name on the Class of 2026 wall.
- Pick up their yearbook.
- Receive their allotted graduation wristbands after they have completed their to-do’s. Remember: Graduation wristbands cannot be replaced if lost.

The PTSA is providing graduation yard and window signs for your graduates. Seniors will be able to pick up a sign when they check out on June 9 as well. Congrats, Class of 2026!

Congratulations to our 2026 Seattle Schools Scholarship Fund recipients!

Each year, our counseling department has the honor of selecting some of our incredible graduating seniors to receive a scholarship from the Seattle Schools Scholarship Fund Board of Trustees. We celebrated this year’s recipients from Cleveland and our neighboring schools at an awards ceremony at Franklin High School. Our students reflected eloquently on their high school journeys and the bright futures ahead of them. We could not be more proud of these exceptional young folks. Thank you to the Seattle Schools Scholarship Fund, especially Paulette Q. Thompson, who coordinated award efforts for our Cleveland graduates.

Not pictured: Scholarship recipient Josiah Ocampo (who was able to briefly stop by to accept his award, and wowed the entire auditorium with an improptu breakdancing performance in the process!)
