🎓✨ Huge shoutout to our UW student collaborators and soon to be graduates! ✨🎓

We’re still buzzing after celebrating with students and staff for the completion of the Business Management Consulting Program at the UW Foster School of Business!

This program is a powerful reminder of what happens when classroom learning meets the real-world. We have been so grateful for the opportunity to participate in the program and it has already made such an impact on how we shape the future of SilverKite - in our new home as we open our doors to community workshops!

A huge thanks as well to the faculty and staff of the UW Foster School of Business who make experiential learning like this possible.

To the students: we’re grateful for your partnership and inspired by what you’re building next. 👏 Here’s to the next generation of leaders shaping our communities.

SilverKite teaching artist Ashley McEneny shared some of her samples with us from our recent online workshop Collage: Color, Shape and Doodling! This was a fun workshop that invited participants to explore a variety of mediums and creating in community.

Our online workshops offer an intentional digital space where we go together to carve out time for our creativity.

We partner with multiple communities and organizations like library systems whose patrons are given access to select workshops chosen by their community.

Take a look at if your community is on our partner list - you may have access already to tons of incredible past workshops!

SilverKite has a wide variety of teaching artists with vast and varied gifts and talents who you get to engage with live or in recordings of past workshops.

Each session is an hour long and each session ends with optional sharing of the pieces that folks created. This is always our favorite part and when the connections take root as we get to know each other through our creativity.

Take a look at our online workshop calendar at www.silverkite.us/online-workshops to explore our upcoming offerings and explore our partners list.

We're so excited to be back in Bellevue this summer for our FREE Pop-Up Arts Playground! We will be at Ashwood Park and Playfield on July 7, 14, and 21 from 12pm-2pm. Everyone is welcome and all supplies will be provided. Read below for information about each day's art activity.

🌲 July 7 – Made in Washington
Celebrate Washington pride through art and creativity. We will create pins and patches, design fan flags, and create chalk murals to brighten up our park walks. Using fabric, felt, paper, stickers, beads, and clothespins.

✉️ July 14 – Letters from Washington
What does home mean to you? Share stories, memories, and connections to our Washington community and beyond. What brought you here today...and where are you going next? Participants will design their own postcards and stamps and add to a community mural to celebrate why we love Washington. Using acrylic and watercolor paint and block print stamps and ink.

🪭 July 21 – Pacific Northwest Flair
Explore functional, expressive summer design. We will decorate hand fans and visors to keep cool, create recycled materials collages, and use name poetry to create a collective poem. Using ornamental and decorative paper, wood, stickers, acrylic paint markers, cardboard visors, recycled materials and nature.
