For more than five decades, Ed Lazowska has shaped generations of computer scientists at the University of Washington. Over the course of his career, he helped make the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering a global leader.
His lasting influence is being recognized with the UWAA's Distinguished Teaching Legacy Award.

Even the University of Washington has FIFA World Cup fever! Last summer, the UW's well-worn soccer field began its transformation into a world-class training facility. Visiting international teams will be able to practice at the UW, then head downtown to compete at Lumen Field. reports on this and the many other ways that Huskies are helping welcome the world to Seattle.
