This we are have urgent request for more hard-shell/plastic carriers.
This past weekend there were 2 wildfires🔥very close to our rescue that called for evacuations (as of yesterday the total number wildfires in the area have been 5). We have been lucky so far to not have to evacuate ourselves, but it did make us realize that we need to be better prepared for such an eventuality as part of our emergency preparedness, especially going into a very dry summer, with people who very much cannot understand that they should be cautious not to start fires.

We are urgently trying to acquire enough spare carriers that should we need to evacuate, we will have enough to get all the animals in our care crated and transported out safely and efficiently. This summer is unbelievably dry here, and the winds often feed wildfires rapidly and ravenously, consuming acres by the hundreds and thousands within hours.🚒🔥 We are properly fearful of what may come with fireworks people will be shooting off on the 4th July this year.
