🌞😎 Hello, ACES Superstars! 😎🌞
I hope you’re having a great summer! 🌻 Whether you’re working at a summer job, helping at home, or enjoying time with your family, I’m so proud of you! ❤️
💼 Most of you have started your summer jobs by now. Remember, every day is a chance to show what you can do! Practice these important work skills every single day:
⭐ 1. Be on time. (Show up ready to work!)
⭐ 2. Follow directions. (Listen carefully and do your best.)
⭐ 3. Have a positive attitude!! (Smile, be kind, and don’t give up when something is hard.)
🙋💬 And very important — ask for what you need.
🏡 If you’re not working this summer, you can still practice your job skills by working at home! Here are just a few things you already know how to do -
🧺 Do your laundry.
🗑️ Take out the trash.
🍽️ Wash dishes or help clean the kitchen.
🧹Sweep the floor.
🛒Create a shopping list and help shop.
🥫Put groceries away.
📋 Inventory your food pantry or refrigerator.
🏖️ Write about your vacation.
🧑🍳 Start a list of food you’d like to learn to cook when we return in the fall.
🍳 Offer to help parents cook the items we’ve already prepared at school.
🎨 Create a piece of art you’d like to display/sell, or design ideas for cards and mugs when we return.
💻 Search for stl files for the 3D you think will sell - and we will make them when we return.
📋🖊️ Practice filling out an application for a job you want.
📚 Read a book (Try rereading the book I gave you and answering the questions).
💪 Remember our secret:
We build skills through repetition! Every time we practice, our brains get stronger and our confidence grows. The more we do something, the better we become!
Also — be sure you’re eating well and getting the rest you need!
👀 I’m hearing GREAT things about you and your jobs! 🌟 You are Awesome!
