Graduates ... Need a copy of your transcript? High school, middle school, and elementary school offices and registrar offices will be closed to the public after Thursday, June 25. However, if you need a copy of your transcript after Thursday, June 25:
• Glacier Peak High School and Snohomish High School graduates and alumni needing a copy of their official high school transcript must visit Parchment.com to order.
• All education verifications and third-party background screenings, must visit Parchment.com to order.
• AIM High School graduates and alumni needing a copy of their official high school transcript or needing education verification, should leave a phone message at 360-563-4600. Messages will be returned after Wednesday, August 5.

Juneteenth honors the end to slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people be freed. It was two months after the South’s official surrender in the Civil War and two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation went into effect. Reminder that our school and district offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, in recognition of Juneteenth.

High school, middle school and elementary school offices will reopen on Monday, June 22, and will close after Thursday, June 25, for the summer break closure. School offices will reopen on Monday, August 10. School offices (especially those at our high schools and during summer school) may open intermittently between Friday, June 26, and Friday, August 7.

Congratulations to Glacier Peak High School (GPHS) sophomore photographer Rithvik Chokkakula, whose incredible photo has been selected by Jones Soda as one of just 10 photographs from the Washington State High School Photography Competition exhibit to be featured on 250,000 bottles of Jones Soda!

That means Chokkakula’s work will soon be seen by soda fans across the region. Way to represent GPHS and the Snohomish community!

Beginning today - Free summer meals for all kids!

All area children aged 18 and younger are invited to join the Snohomish School District for its Kids' Café summer breakfast and lunch program. The program is free, and there is no pre-registration or sign-up. Any area child is encouraged to participate and enjoy a healthy breakfast and/or lunch. Kids' Café is held Mondays through Fridays from Monday, June 15, through Wednesday, August 26. (Note: No service on Friday, June 19, or Friday, July 3.) Meals are offered at the following times and locations:

Snohomish High School (1316 Fifth Street in Snohomish) - Meals served in the school commons.
• Breakfast - 8:30-9 a.m.
• Lunch – 11 a.m. -Noon

Three Rivers Mobile Home Park (13201 Elliott Road in Snohomish) - Meals served from Kids' Cafe truck.
• Breakfast - Not served at this location
• Lunch - 11-11:15 a.m.

Circle H Mobile Home Park (6413 123rd Avenue SE in Snohomish) - Meals served from Kids' Cafe truck.

One grade. Six houses. One Grand Chalice.

What began as an idea to help Machias Elementary sixth graders build friendships before middle school grew into an unforgettable year of teamwork, leadership and friendly competition through the inaugural House Champion Saga.

Students were divided into six gem-themed houses — Obsidian, Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, Topaz and Diamond — and spent the year earning points through creative, academic, STEM and team-building challenges, as well as by demonstrating positive behavior, leadership and collaboration. From Jeopardy-style competitions and STEM projects to relay races and kickball games, every challenge brought students together while building school spirit and new friendships.

The year-long competition culminated in a House Champion Field Day, where students competed for final points before the Soaring Sapphires claimed the Grand Chalice and championship title!

A special thank you to the Snohomish Education Foundation for helping launch this program through grant funding, the Machias PTG for supporting STEM activities and classroom reimbursements, and Haggen for donating the Grand Chalice trophy and celebratory donuts for the winning team.

What a better way to celebrate the last day of school than with sunshine and outdoor fun?

Our Snohomish ECEAP preschool students spent their final day of the school year playing and laughing in the beautiful weather. What a perfect way to wrap up an amazing year!

Earlier this week, more than 40 community members came together for the kickoff meeting of our Citizens Facility Advisory Committee (CFAC). The committee includes a diverse group of parents and community members who will help evaluate our district’s long-term facility needs. Meeting regularly through early 2027, this group will play an important role in helping our district plan for the evolving needs of our students, staff, and community.
