Thank you to the Sonoma Index-Tribune / Sonomanews.com for sharing Sophia’s story.

This spring, Sophia Unciano graduated from Hanna Academy after becoming the first female student admitted to the school. In the article, Sophia shared that before Hanna Academy, she had “absolutely no clue” what she wanted to do. But once she arrived, she said she was “shown what actual support looks like.”

That support, paired with Sophia’s own accountability and determination, helped her discover new direction. Through Career Technical Education, she found an interest in welding, began working with Mellinger Engineering in Sonoma, and is now preparing for a four-month training program in nondestructive testing.

As Principal Courtney Jackson shared, Hanna Academy helped provide the vehicle, but Sophia is the one who got in and drove it forward.

Congratulations, Sophia. We are so proud to celebrate this milestone with you.

Grateful for good neighbors and helping hands!

A big thank you to the Sonoma Valley Boy Scouts for helping clean up the garden areas around our residential homes. Your time and effort made a meaningful difference and helped make these spaces more welcoming for the young people who call Hanna home.

Mental health challenges can feel isolating, especially when symptoms are confusing or hard to name.
A recent Kenwood Press article takes a closer look at Hanna Ahead, Hanna Center’s program for individuals who may be experiencing early signs of psychosis. The piece explains how Hanna Ahead brings together a coordinated care team to provide education, family support, peer support, case management, and clinical care.

The key takeaway is simple and important: early support can help young people and families better understand what they are experiencing and find a path forward with more stability, connection, and hope.

Today, we’re celebrating Bryson, one of our current participants, on his high school graduation! 🎓✨

This milestone represents years of hard work, determination, and growth, and the Hanna Center team was proud to be there cheering him on as he crossed the stage and celebrated this achievement.

At Hanna Center, we believe every young person deserves a community that shows up, encourages them, and celebrates their successes. Moments like this remind us why that support matters.

Congratulations, Bryson! We’re so proud of all you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what’s next. 🎉
