The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Felix Odartey Lamptey, today held a strategic meeting with Heads of Institutions and Departments within the Municipality to review their activities, achievements, and challenges.

Institutions represented included the Municipal Health Directorate, CHRAJ, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Ambulance Service, National Youth Authority (NYA), Youth Employment Agency (YEA), National Service Scheme (NSS), Municipal Education Directorate, and several other state institutions operating within the Municipality.

During the meeting, heads of the various institutions presented reports on their activities for the year 2025 and outlined their plans and projections for the coming year. The session provided an opportunity to address key challenges, celebrate successes achieved so far, and collectively determine the way forward for effective service delivery and development within the Municipality.

Hon. Felix Odartey Lamptey commended all institutions for their commitment and encouraged stronger collaboration towards the growth and progress of the Municipality.

Weija-Gbawe MCE Distributes Approximately 3,000 Mathematical Sets to BECE Candidates

Weija-Gbawe, May 2026 – The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Weija-Gbawe, Hon. Felix Odartey Lamptey, on Thursday, April 30, 2026, led the distribution of approximately 3,000 mathematical sets to support BECE candidates across the municipality.

He was joined by the Municipal Director of Education and the Assembly Member for Djammah, a member of the Municipal Education Oversight Committee.

The exercise covered all public basic schools and selected private institutions, including Eliot International School, Djammah; Crown and Glory International School, Gbawe; and Divine Grace School, SCC.

Addressing the candidates, Hon. Lamptey urged them to remain focused in their preparations, avoid examination malpractice, and make good use of the support provided. He also appealed to parents to create a conducive environment for their wards ahead of the exams.

The 2026 BECE is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 4.
