Our waste and recycling workers have an essential job in our community! They deserve our thanks daily, but this week is their time for recognition. For Waste & Recycling Workers Week, show your appreciation by leaving a thank-you note taped to your curbside carts, meeting them with refreshments as they come by, or even just following the RRRASOC Recycling Guidelines to ensure our workers stay safe when handling household discards.

There are many different kinds of plastics that we all know are recyclable with RRRASOC, such as water bottles and milk jugs. But what should you do when you aren’t sure if it’s recyclable? Find the resin code!
Resin codes indicate the type of plastic an item is made out of ( #1- #7). At RRRASOC, we accept #1, #2, #4, #5, #6 (no expanded polystyrene foam – AKA Styrofoam), and #7 at curbside and at the recycling drop-off sites. To learn more, visit www.RRRASOC.org!
