School may be out, but summer adventures are just beginning! We hope all of our Lincoln Heights Jaguars parachute into a summer filled with sunshine, laughter, popsicles, pool days, camping trips, great books, and unforgettable memories. ππ
A quick reminder that the Main Office will be open through Thursday of this week before taking a summer break until August.

ππΎ WATCH OUT, MIDDLE SCHOOL... HERE COME THE JAGUARS! πΎπ
Today we celebrated our amazing 5th graders as they are moving on from Lincoln Heights Elementary and launching into their next big adventure!
These Jaguars have spent years learning, growing, laughing, leading, creating memories, and making our school a better place. While we're sad to see them go, we are SO excited to see what they do next. If their time at Lincoln Heights is any indication, the future is looking pretty incredible!
To the Lincoln Heights Class of 2033: Keep dreaming big, working hard, showing kindness, and believing in yourselves. The future is bright, and we know you're going to accomplish amazing things.
πβ¨ Once a Jaguar, Always a Jaguar! β¨π
Now go make some middle school magic happen! πππΎ

π¬π School is almost out... but Mrs. York's next adventure is just beginning!
Mrs. York was all smiles at Spokane Public Schools' Evening of Excellence as she was recognized for her many years of incredible service to students and education. While our hearts are sad to see her go, we're excited to know she will be trading her science experiments for a suitcase as she heads into retirement and a future full of travel adventures!
Congratulations, Mrs. York! Thank you for helping generations of Jaguars discover, explore, and dream big. βοΈβ€οΈ

π¨β½ HISTORY WAS MADE AT LINCOLN HEIGHTS! β½π¨
The first-ever 4th Grade Kickball Club vs. Staff Showdown officially took over our playground yesterday, and WOW... what a game!
The staff entered the field full of confidence. The 4th graders entered the field ready to CRUSH DREAMS. π
There were monster kicks, dramatic catches, close plays, lots of laughter, and enough school spirit to power the entire building. But the best part? The FAN CLUB!
Our entire school lined the field, cheering at the top of their lungs, creating an atmosphere that felt more like the World Series than a Wednesday afternoon kickball game. The energy was incredible, the smiles were nonstop, and the memories made were priceless.
Will the staff spend all summer training for a comeback? Probably.
Will the Kickball Club let them forget this victory? Absolutely not.
A huge shoutout to Coach McCann, our amazing Kickball Club members, and every student and staff member who made this unforgettable event such a blast. We have a feeling a new Lincoln Heights tradition has officially been born! ππβ½

Our 5th graders visited Eastern Washington University yesterday and letβs just sayβ¦ they discovered VERY quickly that college students get their steps in! ππ
Between touring the campus, exploring college life, and imagining their future selves, our students had an AMAZING day at EWU. There were lots of wide eyes, big questions, excited conversationsβ¦ and maybe a few comments about needing a snack break after all that walking from class to class! π
π
Experiences like this help our students dream big and start thinking about all the exciting possibilities ahead of them. A huge THANK YOU to EWU for partnering with Spokane Public Schools and making this special day possible for our students! β€οΈπ€β¨

Last weekβs 1st & 2nd grade concert was absolutely adorable from start to finish! πΆβ¨
Between the singing, dancing, smiling faces, and nonstop excitement on stage, our students put on such a fun and memorable performance! The concert was beautifully rehearsed and full of energy, thanks to the hard work and talent of Mrs. Hill. ππ
This concert was also a bittersweet one as it marked Mrs. Hillβs final performance at Lincoln Heights before she begins an exciting new chapter at home with her growing family. We are so thankful for the years she has shared her love of music with our students and school community.
Thank you, Mrs. Hill, for all youβve brought to Lincoln Heights over the years. We will miss you dearly and wish you all the best in this next adventure! π΅β¨

ππ Celebrate Literacy in Every Language! ππ
At Lincoln Heights Elementary, we believe every language is a strength. Thanks to a generous Spokane Public Schools Foundation grant, our library now represents 18 languages and includes 67 new books in 12 different home languages! π
Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Rogers partnered with WEPA Libros LLC and gathered family input to select books that reflect the cultures, languages, and experiences of our students and community. β€οΈ
When students build strong literacy skills in their home language, they grow even stronger as learners in English, too. Thank you to our families, staff, and community partners for helping us create a library where every student can see themselves represented! πβ¨
