On Wednesday, our second-year DPT students in Health Systems IV: Ethics, Laws, and Business Management explored the ethical use of AI in clinical documentation during an engaging, interactive session led by Kelly Brown, PT, DPT, OCS of Prompt AI.
Students had the opportunity to discuss real-world scenarios, consider ethical implications, and learn practical strategies for incorporating emerging technologies responsibly into patient care and documentation.
Thank you, Dr. Brown, for equipping our future physical therapists with the tools and critical thinking skills needed to navigate the evolving role of AI in healthcare!

Last week, our 2nd-year DPT students took a deeper look beneath the surface during an ultrasound lab experience! 🩺✨
With the guidance of guest lecturer Diana Smith, MPT — a clinician , students explored soft tissue structures and the shoulder joint 💪in real time!
Hands-on learning like this strengthens the connection between classroom knowledge and patient care, preparing our students for excellence in practice.

The Exemplary Clinical Educator Award is given to the clinical educator (Clinical Instructor) who has made a significant and/ or consistent contribution to the professional development of our graduates by sharing their clinical expertise, providing engaging clinical experiences, and seeking innovative approaches to clinical supervision. The recipient demonstrates a passion for educating others and partnering with academic programs, while supporting the growing professional. They model clinical excellence and align their clinical education with the Christian missions of the University and respective program. The recipient is nominated and chosen by the by the Director of Clinical Education in conjunction with the students of the DPT program for the physical therapy program.

The Community of Practice Scholars Award is given to a community partner who has consistently impacted the educational experience of our graduates from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. This community partner through the allocation of resources, support, and collaboration has demonstrated a commitment to the professional development of our graduates. The recipient is nominated and chosen by the Graduation Hooding Committee.
