FRIED & FRUITY🍳🍎 by R☻SiE

Artist Bio:
Rose Honey is a visual artist and designer based in Spokane Valley, Washington. Working primarily in papier mache, she creates oversized sculptures of ordinary food, rendered with bold color and a sense of humor, that invite viewers to look again at the familiar. She owns an independent creative studio she has run since 2016, and a founding host of CreativeMornings Spokane. She also teaches art & design, which means she spends a lot of time convincing other people that making things is worth it. Her work has been described as bright, fun, and food-focused, built at a scale that refuses to be ignored.

Artist statement:
Food is communal. It’s celebratory. It shows up at every table, every gathering, every moment worth marking. Fried & Fruity brings that same energy— bold, colorful, a little over the top, and entirely unapologetic about taking up space. Pride Month is a celebration of showing up loudly, joyfully, and in full color. These sculptures were made to take up space. So were we. xoxo, Rosie
