The Lincoln LGBTQ+ Resource Center honors Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans and celebrates Black resilience, liberation, and joy. Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is an ongoing journey and that the work of justice and belonging continues today.
 
As we reflect on this history, we encourage our Gonzaga community to learn, engage, and support opportunities to celebrate Juneteenth throughout Spokane and other communities.
 
At the intersection of racial justice and LGBTQ+ liberation, we recognize that our communities are strongest when we stand together in pursuit of dignity, belonging, and freedom for all.

Join the Lincoln Center at Spokane Pride as a volunteer on June 13 from 10:30 AM–6:30 PM.
 
We’re looking for Gonzaga volunteers to march, help at the booth, or support as general Pride volunteers. Family and friends are absolutely welcome to join us. Festival volunteers be scheduled for to 1–2 hour shifts, so you’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy the celebration!
