ADVISORY SCHOOL COUNCIL SPOTLIGHT

Thank you to Fr. Christian and to Advisory Council members John Lovell, Vivian Francis, Werner Schaefer, and Thomas Hughes for attending the 2026 Archdiocesan Advisory School Council Workshop held at St. Peter Catholic Career and Technical High School this past weekend.

This workshop is an annual training and development event for school Advisory Councils in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston which equips our Council members with skills in strategic planning, financial oversight, council responsibilities, and effective teamwork.

We want to thank our Advisory Council members for all of their hard work and can't wait to see what insights they will be bringing back to St. Edward the Confessor Catholic School!

8TH GRADE SPOTLIGHTS

We continue to celebrate our 8th grade graduates and wish them well on the next step of their journeys! 💙👑💛

Today, the U.S. bishops are consecrating the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Beginning at 3 p.m. Central Time, there will be reflections on the Sacred Heart from several bishops before the special Mass of consecration, which will be livestreamed on the USCCB’s YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/

Parishes and individuals are encouraged to participate in the consecration and the commemoration by contributing to 250 Hours of Adoration and/or 250 Works of Mercy. Learn more at archgh.org/sacredheart

Archbishop Joe S. Vásquez and Auxiliary Bishop Italo Dell'Oro, CRS are currently gathered with the U.S. bishops for the 2026 Spring Plenary Assembly in Orlando, Florida from June 10-12. Please keep them in your prayers.
