City of Springfield Parks & Recreation

This department oversees the care and enjoyment of the city’s parks and green spaces.

It manages recreational programs, park upkeep, and urban forestry services across more than 2,400 acres of public land. We are committed to providing innovative programs, and learning experiences for participating children. The Afterschool and Summer Enrichment Programs are designed to introduce children to a number of new opportunities and activities that build upon the skills they learn throughout the school year.
