Last Friday and Saturday, I attended the 122nd annual meeting of the Virginia PTA! It was an inspiring time of connection and education. I am excited to bring back what I learned and have another awesome year serving as the PTA President!

Our group was recognized as a Nominee for the VAPTA Impactful PTA Award! Thank you to all the Hunt Valley volunteers who helped out this year! Big or small, your donations of time and service all came together to produce great things for the Hunt Valley community. Congratulations also to Kate Johnson, a Nominee for VAPTA Volunteer of the Year. Your tireless efforts and leadership make such a difference to our school and are GREATLY appreciated!

Fairfax County had several award winners, including an officer of Fairfax County SEPTA as Child Advocate of the Year and Dr. Michelle Reid as VAPTA Power Partners Superintendent! Congrats to all! And thank you!

As the school year wraps up, we are getting ready to pack 400 snack packs for Fairfax County Public Schools students who may need a little extra support over the summer.

Join us for a simple but meaningful evening of giving back:

Thank you, again, Hunt Valley Community for an amazing Spring Festival! We had fantastic weather and a record turn out of attendance (500+ tickets in pre-sale alone)! This event would not have been such a success without the hard work and dedication of the Spring Festival Planning Committee, Kate Johnson, Jen Hong, Apple Sargeant and our fearless leader Kyeongmin Tero! THANK YOU for your efforts! Our parent and teacher volunteers were also integral to making this event come together, along with the volunteers from WSHS. Thank you all for helping create this memorable event for our Hawk students!

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for supporting our 2026 Silent Auction! It was a tremendous success thanks to volunteers who made it happen and the families & teachers who participated. We ended up making over $4,000 for the PTA! 🤩🥳
