Walking Wednesdays with Jasper ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŽญ

This week, Jasper the Goldendoodle checked out opening season excitement at the iconic Muny โ€” one of the treasures of summer in St. Louis! Did you know that nearly 1,500 FREE seats are available for every performance on a first-come, first-served basis? Because everyone deserves the chance to experience live theatre under the stars.

At the Saint Louis University Program in Physical Therapy, we love helping our students discover the heart of St. Louis both inside and outside the classroom. From hands-on learning and service opportunities to exploring the cityโ€™s culture and community traditions, there is always something to experience.

We recently had the opportunity to visit Axes Physical Therapy in Farmington, MO for a site visit with one of our PY2 Physical Therapy students, Rachel Leigh, on clinical rotationโ€”and it was a great reminder of the impact of strong clinical partnerships.

A special thank you to Derrick Wolk, MPT and Jennifer Naeger, MPT at Axes Physical Therapy for creating such a supportive learning environment. Their dedication to mentorship and hands-on teaching plays a critical role in preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals. Experiences like this highlight the value of collaboration between academic programs and clinical partners in shaping future providers.

Walking Wednesdays w/ Jasper ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’™

This week, Jasper's adventure took him to the beautiful Shakespeare Glen in Forest Park, one of St. Louis' most treasured outdoor gathering spaces! ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŽญ

Did you know that the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival brings world-class theater to the glen every year? This summer, audiences can enjoy The Tempest (May 27โ€“June 21), Shakespeare's magical tale of storms, shipwrecks, and second chances. Best of all, lawn seating is completely FREE! Bring a blanket or lawn chair, pack a picnic, and enjoy an unforgettable evening in Forest Park. Food and beverage vendors are available on-site, too.

As Jasper explored the glen, he couldn't help but think about the many opportunities Saint Louis University DPT students have to learn, grow, and connect with the St. Louis community. From world-class parks and cultural events to hands-on clinical experiences, there's always something new to discover.
