Water! Water! Water!
Never enough to satisfy the thirsty plants especially as they get established.
We added marigolds today and a few more strawberry plants.
Thanks to Ms. Reiter for additional peppers and tomatoes and some milkweed for the adjacent wild area to attract butterflies.
We weeded around 3 beds. Eight to go!
Each week we are making headway and the garden is really shaping up nicely.
Peas are doing well, a couple of potato plants are emerging 👍, the lettuces are hanging in (they need water more frequently!). The flowering plants in the perimeter are really doing well: bleeding hearts, hosta, bearded irises and Siberian irises. The clematis should pop next week.

More importantly, we have a wonderful group of students who arrive on time, follow directions, work steadily, and, best of all, seem happy.

We will continue thru the summer on Saturday mornings, 9-10am to keep up with the watering, weeding and 🤞harvesting.
