During her time at Staten Island Academy, Hailey has been deeply involved in academics, athletics, leadership, service, and the arts. This is her fifth time winning Tiger Scholar, and she is very honored to receive this recognition again, now for lacrosse. This year, she was enrolled in AP Psychology, AP Calculus, AP Computer Science Principles, Creative Writing, Advanced 2-D Art, and a Senior Signature Project, where she explored neuromarketing. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and has been active in several clubs including Bring Change to Mind, Solving 4 Change, Catholic Heritage Club, & Students Demand Action.
Hailey has taken on many leadership roles within the school community. She served as President of the Admissions Club, Editor of the Yearbook committee, and this past years Merrick House Representative. She enjoyed helping younger students through Tech Crew for the middle school musicals and as a leader for the middle school lacrosse club.
At the Academy, Hailey has also participated in multiple varsity sports. She played varsity basketball and served as captain of the varsity soccer, volleyball, and lacrosse teams. She is excited to continue her athletic journey at Elon University as a member of their Division I Cheer team.
Beyond the classroom and athletic fields, Hailey has been involved in the Performing Arts and participated in many fall and spring theatre productions. Outside of school, she volunteers at clinics for newer volleyball players on Staten Island and dedicates her summers and school breaks to Thursday’s Child, an early intervention program for children with autism. Hailey has also used her artistic ability as an illustrator for the newly released children’s book series, Noah Guy. Most recently, she was awarded the top graduating senior scholar-athlete from the Varsity Club of Staten Island, recognizing her dedication to athletics, academics, leadership, and service.
Hailey is grateful to her teachers, coaches, teammates, family, and the Staten Island Academy community. She is honored to once again be recognized as a Tiger Scholar and proud to represent Varsity Lacrosse.

Congratulations to Hudson ‘26 on being awarded the 2026 Tiger Scholar honor for the Varsity Trnnis Team. A Tiger Scholar is awarded to a student that participates on an Upper School team and or Theatre production and has the highest GPA for the season. In his senior year, Hudson took Advanced Calculus II, AP English Literature and Composition, AP U.S. Government & Politics, AP Psychology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Intro to Theater. This is Hudson’s fifth time receiving the Tiger Scholar Award and third time receiving it for the Tennis Team. Hudson serves in several leadership roles at the Academy. He is the Co-President of the Student Advisory Council, President of Mentors Club and GSA, Vice President of the Staten Island Junior Giving Circle, and on the leadership team of BC2M. In the Arts Department, Hudson has appeared in numerous theater productions at the Academy, including Emma: A Pop Musical, Mean Girls, Romeo and Juliet, Bye Bye Birdie, As You Like It, Legally Blonde, The Empty Chair, The Tempest, and Something Rotten. He is also a member of the Boys Choir Something Musical and plays the saxophone in the orchestra. In athletics, Hudson has been a member of the tennis team since freshman year and currently serves as captain, playing second singles. Hudson has also participated in community service initiatives such as Rainbow’s Reach, where he assisted teachers at a special needs daycare center. This year, Hudson received awards including the Scholar-Athlete Award and the Mark P. Weissman Be Not Afraid of Creativity Award. At commencement, he was named valedictorian. Hudson is grateful for his past four years at the Academy and will be attending Vanderbilt University in the fall.

Congratulations to Danny ’26 on being awarded the 2026 Tiger Scholar honor for the Varsity Volleyball Team. A Tiger Scholar is awarded to a student-athlete who has earned the highest GPA on their team at the end of the season. Danny is currently enrolled in Advanced Calculus 2, AP US Government and Politics, AP Psychology, Anatomy & Physiology, Creative Fiction, and 3D Studio Art. This is Danny’s third time winning the Tiger Scholar award. He serves as a 3-year starter and 2-year for the Boys’ Varsity Basketball team. He reached his 1,000 point milestone and was named a Jaques All-Star on Staten Island. Additionally, Danny serves as the upper school’s Co-President of the student council, leading meetings with grade representatives and coordinating school events. Danny has also taken interest in the theater program, where he completed The Tempest as the principal role Stephano this past Fall. He participated in two formers shows of Legally Blonde and Bye-Bye Birdie. Outside of school, Danny helps the Kids For Kids foundation, helping at fundraisers to raise money for kids with cancer. In his free time, he loves spending time with his friends and going on long drives, believing that quality time spent with others nourishes the mind. We wish him all the best at Miami University!

Congratulations to Luke ’26 on being awarded the 2026 Tiger Scholar honor for the Varsity Baseball Team. A Tiger Scholar is awarded to a student-athlete who earns the highest GPA on their Upper School team for the season. Luke has previously earned Tiger Scholar honors for Varsity Baseball and Jr. Varsity Basketball.
Luke was enrolled in Advanced Calculus I, AP Physics, AP Psychology, Creative Fiction, New York History, Drums Throughout the World, and Concert Choir. He also earned MVP honors in Varsity Baseball and the Coach’s Award in Varsity Soccer, was selected to the Staten Island High School Soccer All-Star Game, and served as Captain of Varsity Baseball and Vice Captain of Varsity Soccer. During Upper School, Luke was active in Something Musical, Model UN, and Admission Clubs, and appeared in eight Upper School theatrical productions, including several principal roles. This year, he was additionally honored with the Jack J. Boies Award for outstanding senior contributions to the dramatics program and the award for outstanding contribution to the vocal music program.
Luke is looking forward to attending Villanova University in the fall, where he will major in Civil Engineering.

Congratulations to Rami ‘27 on being awarded the 2026 Tiger Scholar honor for the Varsity Golf Team. A Tiger Scholar is awarded to a student that participates on an Upper School team and or Theatre production and has the highest GPA for the season. Rami has pursued an academic schedule that includes Advanced Calculus I, AP Biology, AP Government and Politics, Mandarin V, Human Anatomy and Physiology, and Triumphs and Tragedies. He is the founder of Play Passion Project, a youth-led nonprofit that has collected and distributed over 75000 pairs of footwear to individuals in need locally and globally while empowering the younger generation to make that change happen. Rami also serves as President of the Diversity Club and Sign Language Club and has interned at an orthopedic surgery practice for the past 2.5 years. His efforts have been recognized through the Congressional Gold Medal Award and being named New Yorker of the Week in January 2026. He also recently placed top 6 in the nation at the Young Entrepreneur Academy National Competition, competing against top businesses and entrepreneurs from across the country. Looking ahead, he plans to conduct research at the College of Staten Island investigating organic materials and molecules that may serve as conductors of electricity while continuing to expand his charity and its mission across the nation.

Congratulations to Johan ’26 on being awarded the 2026 Tiger Scholar honor for the Varsity Volleyball Team. A Tiger Scholar is awarded to a student-athlete who has earned the highest GPA on their team at the end of the season. This marks Johan’s second Tiger Scholar award, having previously earned the honor during the 2025 season.
This year, Johan was enrolled in AP Literature and Composition, AP United States Government and Politics, AP Computer Science Principles, Advanced Calculus I, Spanish II, and Drums Throughout the World. He competed on the Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Basketball, and Varsity Soccer teams and was a member of both the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society.
Johan served as President of the Chess Club, was active in the Finance Club, and served as a Merrick House Representative.
Beyond campus, Johan volunteered at a local food pantry and at a retirement home. He is also scheduled to complete a six-week summer internship with Zebralution before he heads off to Tuffs University in the fall.
