🌿 What Is Lent and Why Does It Matter? 🌿
Lent is a 40-day journey of reflection, fasting, and prayer leading up to Easter. It mirrors Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11), where He fasted and overcame temptation.
For many, Lent is a time to give up something—food, habits, distractions—as a way of drawing closer to God. But it’s not just about what we lose—it’s about what we gain: a deeper connection with Christ, renewed faith, and spiritual discipline.
What Can You Do for Lent?
✅ Fast from distractions and focus on God
✅ Spend extra time in prayer and Bible study
✅ Serve others and show kindness
✅ Surrender worries and trust in God’s plan
💭 What are you focusing on during this Lent? Drop a comment below!

Welcome to February!🎊🖤
As we step into this new month, let's take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the richness and diversity of Black history. February marks Black History Month, a time to honour the achievements, contributions, and experiences of Black individuals and communities around the world ¹.
Let's use this month to educate ourselves, to listen, and to amplify the voices and stories that have shaped our world. From the African diaspora to the present day, Black history is American history, and we must recognize and celebrate it.
So, let's make this month count! Share your favourite Black authors, artists, and historical figures. Support Black-owned businesses and organizations. And most importantly, let's continue the conversation and work towards a more inclusive and equitable world for all.
