The Original Pates Creek Elementary PTO

re to complement the school curriculum with additional opportunities for parents, teachers and students to learn, socialize, communicate and grow. As well as, to provide those resources to the school that are not provided or not provided sufficiently for in the school budget and are deemed necessary or desirable by the staff for the support and education of the students. The members of the PTO are all those families and staff members who are associated with Pate’s Creek Elementary. All families and staff members are encouraged to participate in PTO activities throughout the year, even if unable to attend monthly meetings. The PTO Board represents the members. This Board is composed of PTO members who are either elected or appointed to Board positions. The Board meets on a monthly basis throughout the school year and Board members, along with other appointed PTO members, manage the organizational and financial aspects of all the PTO functions. The PTO operates on an annual budget raised from fundraising events. All members of the Pate’s Creek PTO have voting privileges. When there are large items to purchase a vote will be opened, either in person at a PTO meeting, or via ballots that would be emailed or printed to send home to PTO members (depending on specific communication preference of the member)

The success of the Pate’s Creek Elementary PTO can be measured in the cooperative spirit with which parents and staff work together to share their care and concern for Pate’s Creek Elementary students. The PTOs success can be seen in the student’s appreciation for their school, their teachers, and the opportunities presented.
