Meet Boofis, a four-month-old Maltipoo who just had a very successful Private Lesson with Janet! 😊🐾
Jackie came to us needing help with several puppy behaviors... and in just one lesson, Boofis made amazing progress. Before his lesson, Boofis thought “come” meant “chase me if you can.” Janet taught him the "baby come: exercise, and now he understands how to come when called instead of running off to play keep-away.
He was not lead broken yet, but by the end of the lesson, Boofis was walking on a leash... which means Jackie can now start taking him on real walks with confidence.
We also worked on crate and puppy pen manners. Boofis had been barking and whining when Jackie left the room, but he learned how to calm himself and wait for her to come back.
For potty training, Janet helped Jackie begin the process of transitioning Boofis from potty pads to going outside. Boofis did very well, and Jackie now has clear instructions on how to keep building that success at home. Janet also showed Jackie how to brush and bathe Boofis without him biting, helping him stay calm during grooming and handling.
All of this was accomplished in one Private Lesson... not a long series of lessons. Jackie and Boofis did a great job, and we can’t wait to see him in big boy Dog Class next month! 🐶👏

This is what socialization looks like when it's done right! Not chaos. Not "just let them figure it out." Controlled exposure, calm energy, and dogs learning how to exist confidently in the world around them.
Our Socialization Workshops are designed to take dogs that struggle around other dogs, strangers, or new environments and give them the tools to handle it without shutting down or blowing up.
Here's why it matters:
🐾 Properly socialized dogs are less reactive on leash
🐾 They recover faster from stress and overstimulation
🐾 They're safer around kids, strangers, and other animals
🐾 They become easier to train — because a calm dog can actually learn
This isn't just about being "friendly." It's about building a dog that can handle real life. Spots are limited. Visit gdogtraining.com to see the schedule and reserve your place.

What if you could send your dog away for a few weeks and get back the dog you always hoped they'd be? That's Board & Train!
Your dog lives with Janet or one of our qualified trainers. Full days of structured, consistent, professional training: not one hour a week, not occasional practice, but total immersion in learning new behaviors and breaking old ones.
Board & Train is the right choice if:
-> Your schedule makes weekly training nearly impossible
-> The behavior problems are
serious and progressing
-> You've tried other approaches and they haven't stuck
-> You want fast, real, lasting results
Here's what people don't realize: the work doesn't stop when your dog comes home. We do a full owner handoff session, so you know exactly how to maintain everything your dog learned. You're not left with a trained dog and no idea what to do next.
Spots in our Board & Train program are limited. If you've been thinking about it, now is the time to ask! DM us or call (209) 462-2633 soon.

Count them. Different breeds. Different ages. Different energy levels.
One command. Nobody moving.
This is Advanced Obedience... and this is what it looks like when dogs actually know their job! Most dogs can sit in your living room. These dogs are holding position in a busy parking lot, surrounded by distractions, other dogs, cars, and noise because that's the standard Advanced Obedience trains to.
If your dog has the basics down but you know there's another level waiting, this is it.
Advanced Obedience at Guaranteed Dog Training in Stockton is for the dog owner who doesn't want good enough. You want a dog that performs when it counts... not just when it's easy.
Limited spots per session. Visit our website: gdogtraining.com

Dog aggression is one of the most misunderstood issues we see... and one of the most urgent to address correctly!
Most owners wait too long. They explain it away, avoid the situations that trigger it, or hope it gets better on its own. It rarely does. Here's what we know after working with hundreds of dogs: Aggression is almost never random. There's always a trigger, a
history, and often a miscommunication that's been building for months or years. The most dangerous thing you can do is treat it casually. Or worse, punish it without addressing the underlying cause. That suppresses the warning signals and
creates a dog that bites without warning.
The right approach starts with understanding: what is the dog responding to, and
why? Then we build a structured plan that addresses it at the root. We've worked with dogs that other trainers turned away. Dogs that owners were told were "too dangerous." Many of them are now living normal, happy lives.
If your dog has shown any aggressive behavior, don't wait. Get started with Guaranteed Dog Training now! gdogtraining.com

There's a misconception floating around that reward-based training means letting your dog do whatever they want as long as treats are involved. That's not training. That's bribery with extra steps!
Here's the truth about how we use rewards: Rewards are a teaching tool, not a crutch. They help your dog understand what you want. But at some point, your dog needs to perform because you asked, not because they see a treat in your hand.
Real training — the kind that actually works — combines:
-> Clear communication so your dog understands expectations
-> Consistent consequences (good and otherwise) so the expectations mean something
-> Gradual reduction of rewards so obedience becomes default, not transactional
We're not anti-reward. We're pro-results! Have questions about what our training method actually looks like? Drop them in the comments.

Yesterday’s private lesson was a big win for both Maxie and her owner, Karon! 🐾
Maxie is a 5-month-old female Boxer puppy with lots of energy, lots to learn, and a very committed owner who wanted to do things the right way. When we started, Karon was overwhelmed and covered in scratches from puppy biting. By the end of the lesson, she was nearly in tears because she could finally pet Maxie without being bitten. That is what training is all about... helping dogs and owners understand each other!
We worked on leash skills since Maxie had not been lead broken yet, and she made great progress walking nicely on leash. Karon also learned how to start transitioning Maxie from puppy pads inside the house to going potty outside with a clear house training plan.
Both Maxie and Karon did an excellent job following instructions, learning new skills, and building confidence together. Great work, team! 😊
If your puppy is biting, pulling, struggling with house training, or just needs a better foundation, don’t wait. The earlier you start, the easier it is to build good habits.
