This summer, over 170 students from Stockton and Tracy came together for a four-week summer program to prepare for college. 🎓

The Reach for the Stars STEM Academy has helped students prepare for college and strengthened their critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills for 15 years, all while providing exposure to STEM career pathways. 💻

You may be feeling the heat a little extra today... because it's the first day of summer! 😎

Today, we honor Juneteenth, an American holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates Black freedom, resilience and achievement. ✊🏾☀️

Members of the Pacific community came together to reflect on the significance of this day, led by Mary Lomax-Ghirarduzzi, Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Following an insightful presentation on the history of Juneteenth and its lasting impact, Pacificans had the opportunity to connect, learn and celebrate together over barbecue and delicious food. 🧡

Juneteenth reminds us of the importance of remembering our history while continuing to build a more inclusive future for all. ❤️🖤💚
