Martin County High School is proud to welcome Darrell Hatfield to our Tiger family for the 2026โ€“2027 school year as a Mathematics teacher! โž•๐Ÿ“Š
With decades of experience in education, Mr. Hatfield brings an incredible depth of knowledge and passion for student success. He has taught a wide range of courses including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and Honors Pre-Calculus, helping students at all levels build confidence and mastery in math.
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Hatfield has served as a department leader and instructional leader, consistently guiding teams to high levels of achievementโ€”with student pass rates reaching 85โ€“100% on state assessments.
His dedication extends far beyond academics. With over two decades of coaching experience in football and in baseball, he has impacted countless students through leadership, teamwork, and mentorship.
From the classroom to the field, Mr. Hatfield brings passion, experience, and commitment to excellenceโ€”and we are thrilled to have him at MCHS!

Martin County High School is excited to welcome Camden Johnson to our Tiger family for the 2026โ€“2027 school year as a Mathematics teacher! โž•๐Ÿ“Š
Mr. Johnson brings an impressive academic background and a true passion for numbers and problem-solving. He recently earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 3.99 GPA, and will continue his journey pursuing a Masterโ€™s in Applied & Computational Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University.
With real classroom experience already under his belt, Mr. Johnson has been teaching math in public schools, using data-driven strategies, performance tracking, and innovative lesson design to help students succeed.
Certified in Math 6โ€“12, he is committed to building strong mathematical foundations while helping students think critically, analyze deeply, and grow with confidence.
We are proud to have such a talented and driven educator joining our campusโ€”our Tigers are in great hands!

Congratulations to the Martin County High School Welding Academy for earning the Secondary School Technical Excellence Award in the Statewide Welding & Fabrication Challenge, showcasing craftsmanship in celebration of Americaโ€™s 250th Anniversary.

Their award-winning sculpture now stands proudly at our baseball field as a lasting symbol of skill, precision, craftsmanship, and Tiger pride.

This recognition reflects the incredible talent, dedication, and hard work of our student welders and the educators who help shape their success.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Lauren Thompson back home to Martin County High School!

Mrs. Thompson returns to MCHS from Jensen Beach High School, where she served as Assistant Principal of Student Services. Prior to her time at JBHS, she was a valued member of our Tiger community, serving as Assistant Principal of Athletics and Dean of Students.

We are thrilled to have her leadership, experience, and enthusiasm back at Martin County High School as she steps into this new role supporting our students, families, and staff.
