We miss you, Saints! 💙❤️ The halls are quieter, the classrooms are empty, and the campus just isn't the same without you. While you're enjoying summer break, exciting things are happening around St. Laurence Catholic School as we prepare for another amazing year. We're refreshing our classrooms, making improvements to our ECC STREAM Garden, and installing new bleachers for our school community to enjoy.

We're also excited to share a beautiful new addition to campus: a labyrinth gifted by recent SLCS graduate Henry Lasala. Today, we added a paver featuring a cross, making this special space for prayer and reflection even more meaningful.

Aaron M., Sofia B., and Alain P. recently participated in the 2026 Fearless Catholic Writing Camp at the University of St. Thomas!

Mrs. Barto and representatives of our Advisory School Council participated in the annual Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Advisory School Council Workshop this past Saturday.

During the workshop, Advisory School Council President Silas Girgis and Treasurer Ryan Dunbar joined Mrs. Barto to present on Advisory School Council best practices and share insights from St. Laurence Catholic School.

The workshop brought together principals and Advisory School Council members from schools across the Archdiocese for a day of collaboration, professional development, and a shared commitment to strengthening Catholic education.

Congratulations to rising 4th graders Sabina D. and Amara P.! These best friends are having an amazing summer on the softball field as members of an All-Star 8U Summer Travel Team. Last week, they competed in a tournament in Conroe, Texas, where both girls earned MVP honors for their outstanding performance!

Sabina and Amara have been playing recreational softball since last year, and their hard work, dedication, and teamwork are already paying off. We are so proud of these young Saints and enjoy seeing them shine both on and off the field. Way to go! ❤️💙⚾️

What an incredible summer experience for Ava M., rising sixth grader! Ava had the opportunity to meet Olympic track and field legend Allyson Felix, the most decorated American track and field Olympian in history.

As a young athlete herself, Ava was inspired by Allyson’s dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence both on and off the track. Meeting such an accomplished role model was an unforgettable experience and a powerful reminder that with hard work, determination, and confidence, anything is possible.

Way to go, Ava! What an amazing opportunity and a memory that will last a lifetime. 🏅🇺🇸🏃‍♀️🌟❤️💙

The Lopez Family is enjoying some summer adventure in beautiful Leavenworth, Washington! They recently went horseback riding and are making wonderful memories together while exploring the great outdoors.

Look who we spotted at the Gators vs. Sweetwater swim meet! Mrs. Maddan, our librarian, was cheering on our Saints and coaching the Gators and quickly became a celebrity with the swimmers! We love seeing our talented faculty sharing their passions beyond the classroom. Way to go, Mrs. Maddan! 🏊‍♀️🐊⭐

These Saints and SL Pack 1828 Bears had a wonderful time participating in the Thunder Wolf Cub Scout Day Camp! JT, Leo, Andrew, Stillman, and David worked together to earn Bear adventures while enjoying a week full of learning, teamwork, and outdoor fun. What a great way to spend the summer!
