Today we honor Juneteenth, the day the last enslaved African Americans learned they were free. We remember the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of those who endured slavery, celebrate the rich contributions of Black Americans, and reflect on the ongoing pursuit of freedom and equality. 💚🖤🧡❤️

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we are proud to share that our program successfully completed the OST CARES 3rd Cohort in partnership with TXPOST Texas Partnership for Out of School Time. This milestone reflects our continued commitment to supporting mental health awareness and promoting the overall well-being of the youth we serve through meaningful prevention and support strategies.

The students made watermelon and parrot crafts, bringing a little summer fun! 🍉🦜

The students created “cup phones” using paper cups and string to explore how sound travels. They tested their phones with friends and learned how communication works through vibrations and sound waves.

This hands-on activity encouraged teamwork, listening skills, problem-solving, and creativity while making learning exciting and interactive. The students loved experimenting and talking to each other through their STEM phones!

Let us pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice will forever be etched in our hearts. 🇺🇸❤️💙
