Summer camp is in full affect. Students were caught cultivating a Matisse-Style sculpture. Using bold, minimalist techniques and paper cutting. This style of artwork allowed our students to be expressive, colorful and engaged.

Science helps develop curiosity, observation skills, and an understanding of the world around them. Private Pre-K is continuing to learn about insects this week. From magnetic insect trails to blowing mosquito eggs with water, our little scientists are working hard while exploring the natural and physical world around them.

This week toddlers are learning all about red and orange. During language development, Ms. Liz read “Lucy Loves Orange” in English and Spanish. While reading, she asked the toddlers questions in both languages. This facilitates effective communication and connects them to diverse communities.

Today campers learned about balance. Afterwards, they created sculptures. During this activity, campers worked on teamwork, communication, and listening skills as they focused on the science of balance.

Shape Toss With Toddlers! Ms. Liz called out different shapes to her class, afterwards, they tossed bean bags onto the matching shape. This activity encourages listening skills, aids in gross motor skills improvement, and helps with shape recognition.
