Recently, our CEO, Anna Corman, joined Kim Jowell, CEO of Pinellas Education Foundation, and Jenn Faber of the Florida Grade Level Reading Campaign at the Florida School Board Association Conference to present on chronic absenteeism.

Together, we shared successful strategies for promoting positive attendance through community partnerships and highlighted some of the initiatives we've led over the past year to support student engagement and attendance. We're proud to collaborate with partners across Florida to help ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Recently, our Teaching Tools Resource Center - HEF wrapped up its second annual Summer School Shop, helping 59 Hillsborough County Public Schools teachers from 20 summer school sites stock up on classroom essentials! Together, they received more than $27,000 in supplies and resources, with an average shop value of $462 per teacher.

Plus, 12 educators checked out STEAM kits from our STEAM Lending Library to make summer learning even more engaging!

Please join us in welcoming the newest Directors to Hillsborough Education Foundation’s Board! We’re excited to collaborate with these dedicated leaders to help ensure every student in Hillsborough County receives an outstanding public education that equips them for a fulfilling future.
