Congratulations to Dr. Marianne Lescher of Kyrene Traditional Academy on being selected as the Arizona Educational Foundation's Education Leader of the Year — and the first inducted into the AZ Education Hall of Fame.

Calling all 5th-8th grade girls! Join the 2026 Phoenix Mercury STEM Camp Powered by Honeywell for an action-packed day of science, technology, engineering, and math. Hosted at the iconic Mortgage Matchup Center, this one-of-a-kind event brings together curious young minds for hands-on experiments, exciting STEM challenges, and engaging activities—all designed to spark creativity and innovation.

Campers will be given a ticket to come back to the arena on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 for the STEM game and might even get a shoutout!

Ten dedicated Kyrene teachers from seven campuses recently completed more than 40 hours of intensive, in-person professional learning through LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling).

Led by Kyrene K-3 Literacy Facilitator Dr. Raquel Ellis, participants engaged in deep study of evidence-based practices that strengthen how we teach elementary students to read, spell, and write. This rigorous training reflects their commitment to continuous growth and their passion for ensuring every student develops strong literacy foundations. Their dedication to Early Literacy supports Kyrene's Strategic Plan and helps us create brighter futures for all learners.
