The Respite Coalition of Tempe is still seeking volunteers for the Summer Cooling Center, which begins on June 1. We appreciate any assistance you can provide! Additionally, they are always in need of supplies, such as electrolytes, summer clothing, socks and hygiene items. Each day, they offer these items for free to those in need. Thank you!

A presentation about the history of women in the game of baseball from its origins to the present day. The focus will not just be on those who play the game, but also on owners and umpires. The movie “A League of Their Own” has introduced many to the idea that women played baseball, but the story is much deeper, revealing the challenges and triumphs of women who want to be a part of America’s National Pastime. Attendees will learn about individual players, teams, leagues and much more.
