π Field Observations & Engineering Challenges: Conduct guided field observations to identify everyday life engineering challenges influenced by tropical climate conditions, resource constraints, and community needs in the Dominican Republic.
π€ Collaboration & Networking: Engage in networking events with engineering students from the Instituto TecnolΓ³gico de Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic's premier engineering university.

Last Spring Break, Alana participated in the GIE: Projects in Human Centered Design, EPICS in Spain program! Alana enjoyed the little things such as learning to use public transit, grabbing coffee with friends before work, and immersing herself in Spanish culture.
