NSA Family Chapters are the place to meet other kids and teens who stutter and their parents.
Our Family Chapters are the place to meet other kids and teens who stutter and their parents. Meeting people face to face is the greatest way to learn that if you stutter, you are not alone. We offer combined Family Groups, NSAKids groups, and TWST (Teens Who STutter) groups. If there is currently not a chapter in your area, please keep checking, as new groups are forming fast. What a beautiful day for a barbecue! The Phoenix Chapter held its end of year barbecue today at Hudson Park in Tempe. Chapter co-leaders Terra, Jessica, and Lynne served up sides, desserts and drinks as co-leader Jered supervised Aidan and Jeremy in flipping burgers and hotdogs on the grill. ASU graduate students Kayla, Jackie, and Caitlin led kids and teens in lawn bowling, corn hole, sack races and water balloon tosses. The Chapter would like to thank all the families and friends who came out to enjoy the afternoon of fun and food. Have a wonderful summer!

February meeting today at ASU. The Minute-to-Win It games were a huge success. Kids, teens, parents, SLPs and other adults had a wonderful time! And members had plenty of opportunities to resist time pressures while playing these challenging games. Suspenseful music added to the drama. After the games, Regan reported on the results of her science fair project showing that persons who stutter have an easier time talking when they do not feel pressured by the listener.

Last Sunday we went on a hike on South Mountain. Perfect weather on a perfect day, thank you to all who attended! Looking forward to our next meeting!!!

Join us as we bring in the new year by hiking in our beautiful Arizona desert! See you all January 21st at 2:00 at South Mountain.

Even though it didn't feel like winter (it was about 80 degrees outside), we still had a blast at our last meeting at Winter Wonderland!
